The application process

1

Submit the online application

Complete one form covering your details, background, motivation and availability. It takes eight to ten minutes and requires no attachments.

2

Eligibility review

The admissions office reviews your application against CFLP standards on a rolling basis and responds within five business days.

3

Placement assessment

A short assessment — reading, grammar, a brief written task and a short oral — confirms the level at which you will be placed.

4

Offer and enrolment

Successful candidates receive an admission letter, the student handbook, orientation details and enrolment instructions.

Entry Requirements

The Foundation Programme is open to university students, recent graduates and working professionals. Formal French qualifications are not required.

  • A completed secondary education or higher; no French certificate required.
  • Self-assessed level between complete beginner and A2 — placement is confirmed by CFLP assessment.
  • Availability for the full twelve-week programme period.
  • Reliable internet access for online sessions, and a working email and phone number.

What You Will Need

  • Full name as it should appear on official records.
  • A valid email address and phone number, with country code.
  • Your current status, institution or employer, and field of study or role.
  • Two to three sentences on your motivation for the programme.

Application Fee

CFLP does not charge an application or voucher fee. Programme fees are communicated only in the admission letter, and no payment is due before an offer is made. Any request for payment outside official CFLP channels should be reported to the admissions office.

Proof of Application

On submission you receive an on-screen acknowledgement carrying your reference number. Keep this reference — it is your proof of registration and your reference in all correspondence. Your username and password are issued immediately so you can sign in to the intranet.
